There have been a lot of rumours all around Google PageRank and possible cancellation of PageRank. We all have read a lot of articles saying that era of PR is over. Latest PR was only in the beginning of April 2010. Google never kept webmasters waiting for so long. The situation seamed that PR will be cancelled. And finally, when no one was expecting it – update of PageRank on 21.01.2011! We have noticed that now PageRank is counted a bit differently, but it doesn’t matter – PR is kept!

Some SEO specialists report that according to their observations current PR is snapshot of the real PR that was half year ago. That means that you see on the toolbar not the real PageRank of the website or page but PageRank that was half year ago. It makes sense in fighting against black SEO specialists that were trading links.
